Each year, the CESAER organizes several open scientific seminars that contribute to the laboratory's collective dynamic and promote ongoing research. Among them, the interdisciplinary seminar “Putting Pluridisciplinarity to the Test of the Food Transition” provides a space for dialogue between disciplines on contemporary food-related challenges. The seminar “Social Sciences in Practice”, coordinated by the team “Governance and Sociability in Rural Worlds”, hosts external researchers working on rural areas or social classes. These events are complemented by the Unit Seminar, which invites guest speakers to present research aligned with the laboratory’s main areas of work.

In addition, an internal seminar, the Internal Working Group (GTI), offers members of the unit the opportunity to present ongoing work, regardless of the stage of development. This informal seminar aims to encourage feedback and collaboration on new research projects and the dissemination of ongoing work. It also provides a space for PhD students to present their work internally before attending conferences. Sessions may also focus on specific methods or digital tools. The seminar takes place from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m., and lunch is provided for registered participants.

Finally, the CESAER also organizes other occasional events throughout the year—study days, conferences, and workshops—often in connection with ongoing research projects or national and international scientific collaborations.
